South West Screen and the regional screen agencies in England are to be incorporated into Creative England in 2011, made up of Creative South, Creative Central and Creative North with hubs in Bristol, Birmingham and Manchester respectively.
This follows the abolition of the UK Film Council, with many of the previous activities and functions being transferred to the BFI from the 1st April 2011, notably lottery funding and film certification, and others to Creative England and Film London.

UK film tax incentives
The UK Film Council currently administers tax relief for productions that fit with the requirements including a minimum spend of 25% in the UK.

Film funding
From April 2011, the British Film Institute (BFI) will take over from the UK Film Council as the main strategic film body and distributor of lottery funds to UK filmmakers.
