The city has hundreds of parks and open spaces. The Downs are a large expanse of open parkland with spectacular view points of the Avon Gorge and the Clifton Suspension Bridge.
Bristol also has two publicly owned large country estates within minutes of the city centre. There is a varied selection of open grassland and woods and one even has a resident Deer herd!
